Congratulations future Alliant graduates! The completion of your degree is not only a milestone worth celebrating, it marks the beginning of your career of impact as an Alliant Alum. Commencement recognizes and celebrates students’ successful completion of their academic programs. Many students, as well as their family and friends, participate in the ceremony as a rite of passage that commemorates the achievement of a higher education degree.
If you are an on ground student and plan on attending the commencement ceremony, please submit the
2026 Spring Commencement Participation form by January 31, 2026.
If you are an online student and plan on attending the commencement ceremony, please submit the
2026 ONLINE CAMPUS Spring Commencement Participation form by January 31, 2026.
Note: this form is separate from the Application for Degree form.
For doctoral candidates, you must defend your dissertation by May 1, 2026, to be eligible to participate in commencement.
Due to the high volume of anticipated graduates, it’s imperative all students submit the participation form by January 31, 2026. Please note, due to occupancy limits and based on the number of participants, the number of guests per student may be limited and will be strictly enforced.
Students who submit the Commencement Participation Form will work closely with their Student Advisor to determine commencement eligibility.

- Northern California Campuses (Sacramento + SFBY) | Friday, May 15TH at 3pm | Oakland Marriott City Center
- Los Angeles& Irvine | Sunday, May 17TH at 12:30pm | Pasadena Civic Auditorium
- San Diego | Friday, May 22ND at 1:30pm | San Diego Civic Theatre
PLEASE NOTE: Travel and accommodation arrangements shall be the responsibility of each student and their respective guests. In the event of cancellation or postponement due to public health directives or any other unforeseen circumstances, Alliant International University assumes no obligation or responsibility for costs and expenses incurred relative to cancellation or postponement of commencement.
